여러모로 부럽네요. 

프랑스나 이탈리아 와인농장을 사는 중국사람도 있고 

직접 포도농장을 만드는 중국인들도 있습니다. 

그들의 품질도 점점 좋아지고 있습니다. 

와인값이 계속 올라가고 있는 것은 중국의 소비 때문입니다. 

요즘은 미국도 별로 힘을 쓰지 못하지요. 

중국파워가 대단합니다. 

이제는 중국 와인감별사들의 수준도 놀랍네요.

중국인 와인감정사들이 프랑스에서 열린 맛 테스트에서 승리하였고, 이를 "와인 업계에서의 번개가 쳤다" 고 표현했다. 

Chinese wine-tasters have won a taste test in France, in what organisers call "a thunderbolt in the wine world". 

그들은 병이나 라벨을 보지 않고 6가지 화이트와인과 6가지 레드와인을 맞추는 경쟁에서 21개 팀 중에서 우승을 차지했다. 

They came first out of 21 teams by identifying details of six white and six red wines without seeing the bottle or label. 

프랑스 팀이 은메달을 땄고 미국 팀이 동메달을 가져갔다. 디펜딩챔피언인 스페인은 10등으로 떨어졌고 영국은 11등에 위치하는 데 만족해야 했다. 

The French team came second and the US team came third, while former champions Spain slipped into 10th place and the UK only managed 11th. 

중국인 경쟁자들은 그들의 성공이 지식과 운이라고 평가절하했다. 

The Chinese competitors put their success down to knowledge and luck. 

그러나 그들은 다른 팀들 위에 오르는 경쟁은 두려웠다고 말했다. 

But they did say competition was fierce to get on the team.

중궁의 와인 산업은 최근에 성장했고, 와인산지의 양을 늘리려고 노력하기 시작했다. 작년에 포도를 생산하는 지대가 799,000 헥타르에 이르는데, 이는 세계적으로도 스페인 다음으로 넚은 면적이다. 

China's wine industry has grown in recent years and the country has begun to devote an increasing amount of its land to vineyards. Last year it has 799,000 hectares (1.97 million acres) of land dedicated to growing grapes, second only to Spain worldwide. 

2011년도에는 중국인 포도농장(와이너리)이 프랑스 라이벌을 따돌리고 그들의 와인들로 국제적인 금메달을 따냈다. 

In 2011, a Chinese winery beat a host of French rivals to collect an international gold medal for one of its wines. 

중국인들 팀은 프랑스에서 제일 큰 와인 사유지인 Chateau du Galoupet에서 토요일에 경쟁을 벌였는데, 팀원들은 Liu Chunxia, Tze Chien, Xi Chen, Xianchen Ma 이며, 코치는 Alexander Brice Leboucq 였다. 

The Chinese team that competed on Saturday at the Chateau du Galoupet, one of France's biggest wine estates, included Liu Chunxia, Tze Chien, Xi Chen, Xianchen Ma and coach Alexander Brice Leboucq. 

그들의 깜짝 승리는 12개의 와인들의 원산지와 포도 종류, 빈티지, 생산자 그리고 지리적 지역명칭을 맞추는 것에 최고를 기록했다. 

Their surprise win saw them perform best at identifying the 12 wines' countries of origin, grape varieties, vintages, producers and appellation (geographical areas). 

프랑스 최고 잡지사 La Revue du vin de France 의 관리자는 "놀라울 정도의 중국인 팀", "승리 속에서도 겸손했다" 라고 적었다. 

Organisers from the French specialist magazine La Revue du vin de France wrote that the " astounding Chinese team" were "humble even in victory". 

그들은 "블라인드 테스팅에서 반은 지식이며 반은 운이라고 인정했다." 면서 잡지는 이어나갔다. 

They "conceded that in blind tasting, 50% is knowledge and 50% is luck," the magazine continued.
